Thanksgiving Day Ponder
Thanksgiving Day Ponder
By Arley Steinhour 112615
I'm giving Thanks, this snowy day,
Snug and warm, inside, I'll play,
I see no reason, to hunt a bird,
Nor sing a Hymn, I've never heard.
But, in the old, traditional way,
I type exactly what I have to say,
I thank, my God, for the life, I have,
And will learn from that, as Eternal Salve.
All wounds are gone, no scars remain,
If I concentrate, I will feel no pain,
The only emotion, I wish to emote,
Is, Love for you, as Mortal Tote.
Some folks, say, we shouldn't pray,
And thank you for Thanksgiving day,
Because we didn't treat the Indian right,
Our presence here, on them, a blight.
I know that man's actions aren't always good,
With, events and wars, I've never understood,
But, my understanding is good enough for me,
We, that conquered, built the Land of the Free.
Free, to raise family, contribute to the all,
And when necessary, to answer Countries call,
But, decades of late, have changed our ways,
Through, Apathy, secularism, and eyes that 'glaze.'
To, the majority, who still follow our God,
Enjoy, this day, before He gives Jesus, the Nod,
To come, and Snatch, away His Church/Bride,
And Satan will know, he has nowhere to Hide.
AMEN
