Head of Corn
Head of Corn
By Arley Steinhour 081615
Our mortal life, of Work, and Play,
Is nothing more than 'Bedding Hay,'
Preparation, in growing as worthy Crop,
With 'Head' of Corn, as 'second death, Swap.
After childhood, at age of Accountability,
We struggle hard, to be wealthy and free,
We live young Adult lives, with alacrity,
More and more, increasing Sin's Apogee.
Some are lucky, if you call it that,
Without guidance, most be a Brat,
Consenting Adults, free to express,
Their desires, without personal duress.
Never thinking to 'grow' a Head of Corn,
Rambling though life, of booze, and Porn,
Dead, in the heart, with no chance of 'Joy,'
Until we are ready, to welcome God's Boy.
Repenting, Sin-Life, with 'Consented Redemption,'
Jesus', Justifies our Soul, with, 'No Exception,'
Once Scarlet, now our heart, Clean, and White,
Spirit to inhabit, Reborn, Freedom, from Satan's 'Blight.'
AMEN
