High Noon has Past
High Noon has Past
By Arley Steinhour 070415
Once upon a time-ago, July the Fourth, was quite a show,
Fire-Crackers, cracking, rockets display, with flaming tail,
Patriotic Communion, with parades, to show Patriotic Glow,
All seems to have gone on vacation, or Gone-Stale.
High Noon has past, without a shout, or blast,
Only the wind blows softly through the trees,
Independence Day, may have breathed it last,
For lack of our citizens bending their knees.
For the first time I know of, the Powers that be,
Have thrown up their hands, and casually said,
'With the danger at hand, you might hide behind a tree,
Due to threats, and indications,' to not end up dead.
In Seventeen Hundred Seventy Six, declaring our Freedom,
Blessed, by God, and Led, by many Wise Leaders,
We the People, in God, swore to build a 'Republican Governdom,'
Through service to a Godly Nation, without, greed, or cheaters.
Sadly, we failed, as we evicted our God, by doing Abomination,
Politics as Career, plus Great Greed in the ranks, forgot 'Service,'
'That that restrains,' soon taken, will cause great consternation,
Your Church/Bride, soon lifted away; unsaved souls suffer catharsis.
AMEN
