Building Memories
Building Memories
By Arley Steinhour 061215
Hooray, I found a brand-new day,
When I opened my eyes, this morning,
Problems, and strain, of my yesterday,
Gives me freedom to reduce my mourning.
The world I inhabit, with all of its woe,
Waking from dreams, of 'push and shove,'
Pestilence, and War, at 'window, to go,
Yet, today, there are events, I can Love.
My youngest Grandson celebrates his Six years,
Plus, my number two Son, Married, Eleven,
Lives, filled with beauty; I see through my tears,
Building their memories, for Eternity, in Heaven.
I could write about all my family, worth praise,
But, the list would run off of the page,
They've all made me proud, in their diverse ways,
Not often, have I reason to Rant, or Rage.
May I plead, for your mercy, and granting a Boon,
That none of my children be 'Left Behind,'
As, Sisters, and Brothers, may we all fly soon,
To be with you, at our New Home, in kind.
Thank you, Lord Jesus,
AMEN
