Stopping and Starting
Stopping and Starting
By Arley Steinhour 052415
I woke up this Sunday morning,
The Rabbi, Shavuot, praising, way,
In the event their solemn warning,
Has a chance of Saving the Day.
They count the Omer, differently,
I read literally, the Leviticus way,
This year, New Moon gave disparity,
That it be today, or a week away.
We all know that this is the fateful day,
When Holy Spirit sat on Apostles heads,
And filled their minds and hearts to sway,
Truth, in Clear way, that Old way, 'Spreads.'
Ergo, Pentecost, Shavuot, if you will,
Could be a 'Two-Headed coin,'
Changing 'Old Bill,' into 'New Bill,'
So that Gentile could also, 'Join.'
I suggest, we take a good, hard, look,
Related to its 'Stopping, and Starting,'
As to how Shavuot opens another book,
Fall Feasts, 'Three,' as the day of Departing.
Day, and Hour, no man can know,
It's reserved, for our God, the 'Father,'
Until we rise up, we'll stay here, below,
We the Redeemed, of Sister and Brother.
AMEN
