Beyond Endurance
Beyond Endurance
By Arley Steinhour 041215
Remember what it felt like,
Just before the Labor Pain;
Remember how a lightning strike,
Brought on Thunder, and Rain.
Almost every woman knows,
Travail is Pain beyond endurance,
Climaxed when New Life, it shows,
Blossems Love, and Blessed Assurance.
That part of life that follows Birth,
Changes all that Parents have,
Caring for another, hardest job on Earth,
Raising a child, so it won't turn bad.
Take those emotions to make them fit,
The when and where, mankind be,
Travail is knocking at our 'Door,'
Only a Blind Spirit, can't See.
They'll run around with panicked eyes,
Crying, 'Help me through this Pain,'
Refusing, Jesus, whom they despise;
Seven Years of lightening, without Rain.
If, only, they would bend a knee,
And open their heart to Salvation,
They could join up in our Family Tree,
And be a part of God's Eternal-Nation.
AMEN
