Moby Battleship
Moby Battleship
By Arley Steinhour 080514
Once upon a time, I set my eyes upon the sea,
Long Beach Park the place, for vacation reverie,
The coaster ran out to the sea, at one point in the ride,
Tinky Tink the upslope, then down and I decided to hide.
I hid fro all mankind that day,
Eyes rolled up, halfway down, I fainted away,
I did awaken in the rid, out over water,
Into a U-turn, that'd put me to sleep like a swooning daughter.
The second time I took a look, we were sittin still,
People prying on my hands, to release they'd need to kill,
Explaining I need debark so others could have their thrill,
My hands released grip so fast I took a spill.
Twas at that park visit, that affected me like a pill,
In the bay anchored five Great Ships, lined and still,
Battle Ships, one and all, in a line that was majestic,
The seas was planted, with a 'sealife urge' unrealistic.
When majestic anchor hooks the heart, one must go to sea,
Battleship, or Destroyer, small, all the same to me,
So long as they traveled, for all the world to see,
I was now a part of future life, the Naval Family
AMEN
