Nebraska High School Class A Running Backs To Watch in 2024

With 24 days remaining until opening night and one week until the first official day of High School football practice, it’s time to spotlight the top returning RBs in Nebraska

We will begin with Class A, where there is a noticeable absence of returnees with fat stat lines. That certainly doesn’t mean this group is lacking in the talent/potential department.

Any knowledgeable football fan knows that none of these gentlemen can rack up the huge rushing statistics without the tough guys in the trenches creating the gaps and leading the way on pulling routes

Elkhorn South has a terrific, one-two backfield punch with Gavin Shanahan and Jaden Sutko, while Lincoln East QB Jeter Worthley certainly caught my attention as a sophomore signal caller last season.

Too bad Tony Palmer of South Sioux City plays for a Class B-type team whose boy numbers count places them in a Class A schedule. The :10.9 speedster is a baller with real toughness.
