Current List of Nebraska High School Football 5000 Yard Career Rushers

Cory Eikmeier of Dodge, the most prolific ground gainer in the history of Nebraska High School football.

Since the recent addition of Exeter-Milligan/Friend’s (EMF) super running back Breckan Schluter to my 5000 Yard Career Rusher List, I thought it would be neat to actually post the 59 deep list, headed up by the one and only Cory Eikmeier of Dodge.

The table is very easy to read. The athlete’s name, followed by the school, then the number of career rushing yards, the years he was active, and the type of football he participated in.

There are some who played both 8-Man and 11-Man, a few who spanned 6-Man and 8-Man, but none who actually play 6, 8 and 11-Man football. That may never happen.

The stars following the players name indicates the Four-Time thousand Yard Rushers.

If you are looking for Breckea Schluter’s name, he is currently up to number 30 on the prestigious list and rising. I am going to get the opportunity to see Schluter play live and in living color this Friday when EMF hosts Thayer Central at Friend.
