2013 Bobby Mills 1000 Yard Club
*This is the 39th edition of the Bobby Mills 1000 Yard Club, an annual compilation of all the high school running backs in Nebraska to reach the 1000 yard plateau in rushing.
*A total of 92 running backs eclipsed the 1000 yard rushing mark in 2013. There were 60 seniors, 29 juniors, and 3 sophomores on this year's list.
*Omaha North junior Calvin Strong became the first ever Nebraska running back in history to break the 3,000 yard rushing mark in a single season.
*Jacob Morrill of Creighton became only the 3rd player in Nebraska history to rush for over a 1000 yards all 4 years in high school. The others were Mike Brower of Fillmore Central and Brandon Holtorf of Prague.
*Jake Paulsen of Cozad and Alex Brehmer of Lyons-Decatur NE each logged their third 1000 yard rushing season.
*This year 3 backs went over the 5000 yard career rushing mark. Jacob Morrill of Creighton (5,981), Jake Paulsen of Cozad (5,595), and Jordan Slough of Doniphan-Trumbull (5,137).
*This year's list saw a record 8 backs crack the 2000 yard rushing mark for the season.
*6 schools had two 1000 yard rushers this season. They were: Sutton, Giltner, Sidney, Lyons-Decatur NE, Falls City, and Chambers/Wheller Central.
