Who's the Best Class C-1 Boys basketball program in the last decade?

So, in this era of "now", who in the world would even think 5 years back, let alone ten seasons ago?

Young men that are seniors roaming the hardwoods of Nebraska high school basketball these days were a mere 7 years old "back in the day" and probably couldn't fathom an answer. They don't teach that kind of history in school, ya know. More important things that that, I agree. But it is imperative we give credit where credit is due and that is exactly what we will do here.

We will list two categories here.....winning percentage the last ten seasons, and actual wins. I'll be honest, I missed the win percentage category. Most high school hoops fans that follow C-1 will be able to make a very educated guess on 7 of the ten teams that make the top ten list.

The formula I used was to look at the current 2012/2013 C-1 list of schools playing basketball in C-1 and add the schools that may have been playing C-1 for the majority of the past ten seasons and likewise drop schools that may have only been in C-1 for a few years. So, here is the list of the top ten schools by winning percentage the past Ten seasons:

Any surprises? The absolute cool thing about this list is that some head coaches have been at the reins the entire ten years or a good portion of the decade. Mike Emroy of Pierce, Bill Gavers-GICC, Tom Krehbiel-Boys Town, Mark Hrabik-Syracuse, and Rocky Ruhl of Wayne, who just won his 300th game as a head coach. Just think about it for a minute....pretty tough to win 3 out of every four times every time you play during a ten year span. These are the programs that just seem to be strong year in and year out. So here is a giant salute to these Class C-1 basketball programs, the coaches who mold these perennial winners, and to the players who helped make these programs household names.
