College Season Review Final

Championship Week provided little in surprises. Most experts thought that TCU would either keep it close or beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma's D shut out the high power TCU offense in the second half to easily win their 11th Big 12 Championship and 3rd in a row. Ohio State struggled to take out a Wisconsin team that most did not believe truly represented their undefeated record. Truly the only excitement in the game was when a piece of the endzone came loose and we got to watch one lone field management guy spend 20 minutes fixing it.

When it came to the playoff teams Alabama was put in the #4 slot over Ohio State. Yes, the Buckeyes won the Big Ten, however in their two losses this season (Oklahoma and Iowa) they were outscored 86-40. Though the committee did not admit last year's embarrassing lost in the first round in the playoffs may have had a role in Ohio State not making the playoffs.

+++ South Alabama - Though Joey Jones resigned today he is going to finish the season with the team. They are not going to a bowl this season (record) so there should not be any interim coached appointed.
