NFL Rankings Week 11 2017-2018
This was an interesting week as we saw the Rams and Vikings go up against each other as two of the top teams in the league. Not much came of it as the Vikings easily dispatched the Rams. The way the Rams have been playing this season, I am more inclined to think this was an illusion than the better team winning. The Cowboys look like a train wreck and not all of it can be blamed on Ezekiel Elliot being suspended. They had a lead on the Eagles at halftime and then inexplicably both the offense and defense decided to play in the second half. This has been a common theme of the Cowboys. They have way too much talent on this team to continually, year in and out, play below that talent. I think it is past time for Jason Garrett to move on.
At one point in this season the Kansas City Chiefs were 5-0 and the only team in the league that was still undefeated. After this week they have lost 4 of their last 5. I am more inclined to believe that their current stretch is more indicative of the team than the 5-0 team. There are major issues on both sides of the ball. Having said that, there was no reason this team should have lost to the Giants 12-9.
Rankings
1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-2)
The Eagles embarrassed the Cowboys this week. However, at halftime the Cowboys were up 9-7. The Eagles made it look easy in the second half scoring 30 unanswered points. The Eagles are the class of the NFL for now, but there is some reason for concern. But not this week as they take on the Bears (or at least there should not be concern).
Last week: Defeated the Cowboys 37-9
Up next: at home against Chicago
2. Minnesota Vikings (8-2)
The Rams looked to have one of the best offenses in the league, that is until they came across the Vikings. The Vikings offense looked surprisingly good considering that there are a lot of questions at quarterback. It is ain't broke, don't fix it.
Last week: Defeated the Rams 24-7
Up next: at Detroit (Thanksgiving)
3. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-2)
The Steelers look to be finally able to beat the bad teams without playing down to their level as they destroyed the Titans on Thursday night. Green Bay is their next opponent and there really is no telling which Packer team they will face.
Last week: Defeated the Titans 40-17
Up next: at home against Green Bay
4. New England Patriots (8-2)
The Patriots took care of the Raiders with ease in Mexico. This week they get the Dolphins and even though Miami has been on a decline all season they typically get up for games with the Patriots.
Last week: Defeated the Raiders 33-8
Up next: at home against Miami

Bottom Four
27. Chicago Bears (3-7)
The Bears seemed to find their answer at quarterback, but as long as the defense continues to not show up for games it really does not matter how well the offense plays. They get the task of playing the Eagles this week.
Last week: Lost to the Lions 27-24
Up next: at Philadelphia
28. Denver Broncos (3-7)
There is no telling what is wrong with the Broncos at this point. John Elway called the team soft and they seemingly proved him right going out and losing to the Bengals. They travel to Oakland this week for a tilt with the Raiders.
Last week: Lost to the Bengals 20-17
Up next: at Oakland
29. Indianapolis Colts (3-7)
The Colts had this week off. Next they host the Texans. The Colts are a bottom dwelling team but from time to time they show promise.
Last week: Bye
Up next: at home against Tennessee
30. New York Giants (2-8)
The Giants posted an upset of the Chiefs this week but still find themselves at the bottom of the heap. They play in DC for Thanksgiving this week.
Last week: Defeated the Chiefs 12-9
Up next: at Washington (Thanksgiving)
Byes: None
Eliminated: None this week (San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns)
