Big Brother 19 Week 10 Recap and Updates
This past week in Big Brother shows exactly what happens when one person has full control of the house guests. In the HOH Competition (that was surprisingly delayed due to rain) the house guests had to put their hands on starting buttons. When the word go appeared on the screen they had to race to the end of the track and push a different button. For some reason Christmas (still of a broken foot) was cleared to participate. But with a broken foot Christmas should have been one of the first (if not the first) competitor eliminated.
However, Paul had somehow convinced every body to throw the comp to Christmas and they did. First out was Kevin due to a false start, then Raven, then Alex, then Paul, then Josh. Not a single race was ran. It was a complete waste of a competition. Yet Christmas won her 2nd HOH (2nd in 3 weeks). The plan for this week was to split up the final pair in the house, Jalex (Jason and Alex). Weirdly enough Christmas and Paul were able to convince Jason and Alex to go on the block as pawns (Alex even suggested it) and that Kevin was the actual target.
In the Power of Veto competition everyone but Josh participated. Now there was a plan before hand to throw this comp as well to Paul. The show made it appear that Alex had broken the deal, but because the show also did not show Paul upset that Alex broke the deal, we can only assume that she did actually throw it. Maybe it appears on the show tonight. Who knows. After the POV Comp Paul said that we was going to pull Alex off the block (he had told her he would). Josh was resistant to the idea, saying that if the plan is to vote out Jason anyways why take Alex off the block. He tried to convince Christmas that this move only benefited Paul in the game and not the team. She was not buying what Josh was selling her and it made him angry.
At the POV Ceremony, Paul took Alex off the block and Christmas put up Kevin. Paul has come up with another plan for the vote to be tied and Christmas to break the tie sending Jason out. This finally opened Christmas' eyes about Paul's plan to keep himself safe while everyone else get's blood on his hands. So we will see if that plan goes through.
Recap

Block - Alex (3rd nomination) and Jason (4th time on the block, 3rd nomination)
POV - Paul (3rd win)
Renom - Jason and Kevin (1st nomination)
Rankings
7. Jason
It looks like ole Whistle Nut has reached the end of the game. The primary reason that he is going out tonight is because he has been seen as a stronger competitor recently and Paul believes that he can pull Alex in with his team of Christmas and Josh.
6. Kevin
Kevin's real crime is being too nice. In the weeks when someone was going to be evicted Kevin would get close to them. The rest of house assumes he is doing this in an attempt to get jury votes. I do not think that is Kevin's motivation but it is considered 100% in the house, so Kevin becomes a target. Kevin has looked like he has been ready to leave for the last two weeks. I do not see him being voted out this week, but stranger things have happened.
5. Raven
Raven getting to the final five makes no logical sense, but fortunately for her she has larger targets ahead of her. Now, it is possible that she could get clipped tonight in the double eviction, but the fact remains she has lasted on this show much longer than she should have. She has not won a single competition this season and not even been competitive. The only reason she has come close to winning is because of the chance competitions. She has relied several times on house guests just throwing the comps to her, but so far no one has agreed to it. I mean, seriously, a celebrity hosted the POV competition and Raven immediately lifted her shirt to show her medical issue. Who does that? There is a chance she could make it to the final two and there has been discussion that she would win on a sympathy vote. Honestly I think the only person she can beat is Paul. If she is up against anyone else I think the jury would vote for the other person as a vote against Raven.
4. Alex
Alex finally found out of the top 2 spot with the solidification of the alliance of three between Josh, Christmas, and Paul. If Alex can get power tonight or for the next week and get out one of the three she could find herself in contention for the final two again. For now she is on the outside looking in. That may be a better position for her at the moment.
3. Josh
Josh is the weak link of Team Misfits. He has only won one competition (and that was a chance comp). Though both of Christmas' wins were from comps being thrown she is a lot more head strong than Josh. Josh really is just the groups attack dog. He knows this now and is trying to fight back. He also now understands (much too late) that Paul's game this entire season has been what benefits him not the group. He has tried to convince Christmas but she is not buying it. He needs a win of his own and to not listen to Paul to have any chance of winning this game. Otherwise he will make it to the final three but not final two.
2. Christmas
Christmas has made it even further than Raven for some unknown reason. I though sympathy at first but now I think it may be because people actually fear an angry Christmas. She seems to have that crazy pissed off person about her. If she makes it to the final two with anyone but Paul she probably will not win because she has had a broken foot the entire season.
1. Paul
Paul is still number 1 because he has played the most complete game all season. Despite this, if he makes it to the final two he has a real chance of losing again. As people leave the house they realize just how he has had his finger in every eviction, every competition, and every fight in the house. This could cause some hurt feelings and a protest vote against him. The only person that I believe he would have a legitimate chance of beating right now is Raven, and that would be a protest vote in itself against her.
Prediction
I believe Jason will be evicted 3-1 tonight. Paul is still trying to float his tie vote and then Christmas getting her hands bloody by being the deciding vote. He only needs one person to vote Kevin and he has his tie. He wants Josh to do it, but Josh does not believe it is good for his game (it is not). I think the easier path is for Raven to do. If he can convince her then it falls to Christmas to cast the tie breaker. Either way Jason is evicted tonight.
Tonight is also a double eviction so two people will be leaving the house tonight. More than likely it will be either Kevin or Raven.

Eviction
Jason was evicted by a vote of 3-2. The vote was tied 2 a piece and Christmas had to break the tie. As Josh called earlier in the week, all the ire seems directed at Christmas and Josh as of now while Paul is going around the house acting like he has no idea what happened. Paul threw Josh and Christmas under the bus (a la Cody) and it seems to be working. Why? The double eviction was up next, Paul should have been a top target for any of the winners yet was not.
HOH
Alex picked up her 3rd win of the season. You would have to go back 7 HOH comps to see a winner that was not Alex, Christmas, or Jason. With her best friend going out of the house there were three people you would believe Alex would be blame: Josh, Christmas, and Paul. With that Alex would put up:
Noms
Kevin (2nd nomination) and Raven (3rd nomination). Odd choices to be sure with what had literally just happened. Maybe it was a planned back door. All players played in the POV Comp, even Christmas with her broken foot). In the end it was between Josh, Christmas, Raven, and Alex for the win:
POV
Josh picked up his first POV of the season. With what he had figured out about Paul, how it actually played out the way he feared, and with Paul berated him on live TV this would have been a decent opportunity to blow up the game and take someone off the block and force Alex to put up Christmas or Paul. Now that I sit back and think on it I understand why he did not use the POV. More than likely if he would have pulled someone off the block Alex would have put Christmas up as she pulled the trigger to send Jason out. So in the end it was a smart move.
Only Christmas, Paul, and Josh were voting. I had thought they had agreed to get Kevin out next if they had the option. Apparently not.
Eviction
In a surprise to me Raven was evicted by a vote of 2-1. The new HOH should be played tonight, but I am not sure if it will be on the feeds. I imagine all hell is breaking loose right now, because Paul's game (no matter how indignant he is about it) has been exposed. I am not hesitant in saying that Paul lost the game tonight. Everyone in the jury house knows that he has been pulling the puppet strings all season and it will not take them very long to convince Jason of the same. I believe Raven will be the lone hold out for Paul. I see no way for him to win this season. He has played an excellent game from the game view, but he has alienated every one that is in the jury house. That typically does not bode well for a player.
HOH
Josh picked up his second HOH of the season. By the way Paul was talking before the feeds were cut, there is a HIGH probability that the comp was thrown to Josh. Let us just hope that it is not as glaringly obvious as when the entire house through the HOH to Christmas.
Nominations
Alex (4th nomination) and Kevin (2nd nomination) were nominated by Josh. As of now I believe the play is to get Kevin out. But he really wants to make a move and get Paul out, so in the off chance that Alex or Kevin win the POV and take themselves off, Josh may put Paul on the block and blindside him with an eviction. I am not sure that he will be brave enough to pull the trigger. So far only Cody has attempted to get Paul out of the game. Everyone else has allowed him to dictate the game.
What's more is that he actually convinced Alex that he had no idea that a Jason blindside was in play (he orchestrated it). Even worse, Jason is convinced that it was a ploy by Paul AND Alex.
POV
Josh had hatched a personal plan that if he or Alex won POV Alex would come down, Paul would go up and Josh would blow up Paul's game. He went back and forth on this several times, but in the end it was fruitless as Paul picked up the POV. Paul is now considering not using the POV on Alex as he had promised her and trying to convince Josh to take the blame. Christmas (who oddly enough has not picked up on Paul's plan to dirty everyone else's hands while keeping himself clean) is all in on the plan. Josh is being resistant. He believes (correctly) that if Paul wants to go back on his promise to Alex he should take the fall for it, not anyone else.
Josh is now planning on telling Alex about what is going on. This would blow up Paul's Puppets (Team Misfits) but Alex would know the truth about what is going on. He keeps going back and forth on the plan, so we shall see when it comes time for the POV ceremony.
By the way this was Paul's 4th POV win.
