Week 3 NFL Rankings
Somehow, last week, I completely neglected posting a Week 2 Ranking. I am not entirely sure why it skipped my mind but I do apologize.
With that being said there is my Week 3 NFL Rankings. Next Sunday will be my first college football Top 25.
Rankings
1. New England Patriots (no change)3-0
What can be said about the Patriots? Tom Brady is suspended for four games because he "may have known" about footballs being deflated. Second string QB comes in and wins two games but is injured. Third string QB comes in and wins a game. Most thought the Patriots would be 2-2 at best without Brady. They will be at worst 3-1 when he returns. Simply put, right now they are heads and shoulders better than the rest of the NFL.
2. Denver Broncos (up 6) 3-0
The Broncos won Super Bowl 50 and their Hall of Fame QB retires. Most (me included) thought there was no QB that would be able to take Manning's place and the Broncos would struggle. Along comes Trevor Siemian and the Broncos actually look better. It could very well be another Broncos-Patriots AFC Championship game match-up.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (up 5) 3-0
This team should not be this good but rookie sensation Carson Wentz has them flying high. They are the class of the NFC East right now. The Cleveland Browns passed on Wentz and were reduced to playing a wide receiver at quarterback and safety on Sunday.
4. Baltimore Ravens (up 14) 3-0
I am not sure that I believe that the Ravens are one of the best in the league but they are undefeated after the first three weeks. The schedule gets tougher for them so we shall see.
5. Minnesota Vikings (up 10) 3-0
Offense wise they are the weakest of the undefeated teams. Defense wise they are one of the strongest. The defense is going to have to carry this team. Sam Bradford has been serviceable as their QB but how long can the oft-injured QB last.
6. Dallas Cowboys (up 15) 2-1
7. Kansas City Chiefs (down 3) 2-1
8. Green Bay Packers (down 5) 2-1
9. Seattle Seahawks (up 5) 2-1
10. New York Giants (no chance) 2-1
11. Houston Texans (up 2) 2-1
12. Pittsburgh Steelers (down 10 2-1)
13. Oakland Raiders (down 1) 2-1
14. Atlanta Falcons (up 10) 2-1
15. Rams (up 17) 2-1
16. Buffalo Bills (up 7) 1-2
17. Carolina Panthers (no change) 1-2
18. Arizona Cardinals (up 8) 1-2
19. Indianapolis Colts (up 3) 1-2
20. San Diego Chargers (down 1) 1-2
21. Miami Dolphins (up 7) 1-2
22. Tennessee Titans (up 3) 1-2
23. Cincinnati Bengals (down 17) 1-2
24. Detroit Lions (down 13) 1-2
25. Tampa Bay Bucs (down 20) 1-2
26. New York Jets (up 3) 1-2
27. San Francisco 49ers (down 18) 1-2
28. Washington (up 3) 1-2
29. Jacksonville Jaguars (down 9) 0-3
I do not believe that the Jags are as bas as their 0-3 record indicates. They have been all of their games except for the San Diego game and some bad officiating in the Green Bay game.
30. Chicago Bears (down 3) 0-3
No longer the terrors of midway this Bears team shows hardly any improvement over last years team and does not appear to be a team to compete in the upper echelon of the their division let alone the conference.
31. New Orleans Saints (down 13) 0-3
These are not the Saints everyone knows. What started last year is continuing this year. They just are not a good team from top to bottom. They have gotten old and they have not really gotten any young talent to replace the old guys.
32. Cleveland Browns (down 2) 0-3
The Browns are absolutely horrible. They passed on better quarterbacks and went with Cody Kessler and signing Robert Griffin, both injured. On Sunday they used a former QB, now a WR, as a WR, QB, and S. This team has no identity and does not know how to look for it.
