Big Brother Week 5 Recap and Update
I need to start this off with an apology. Over the last two weeks I have had my attention on other things. Last week was the Republican National Convention (coupled with a trip to Nebraska) and this week is the Democratic National Convention. Add all those together and I haven't watched a bit of Big Brother. I will get back on track starting tonight after Hillary's speech. So a quick update and then rankings.
After Tiffany was evicted by a vote of 8-0-0 Julie announced that not only were teams done (to the surprise of no one) but that Roadkill was also finished. Personally I would have like to see Roadkill go on a few more weeks.
Also with the eviction of Tiffany it meant we got see how the Battle Back went. Josea defeated Glenn, Victor defeated Josea, Victor defeated Bronte, and Victor defeated Tiffany.
Victor gained entry back into the house.
HOH: James won
Nominated: Frank and Bridgette were nominated
POV: Michelle won POV and did not use it
Rankings
12. Frank - Frank is likely to be the person eliminated this week. He had played a great game to start but then pissed off Da'Vonne which allowed her to tell the house almost nothing but lies about him to poison his game (I am not defending anything that Frank did to Da'Vonne, his actions were horrible, however Da is not completely innocent in all of this).
11. Bridgette - Unfortunately Bridgette is a victim of being close to Frank and no one else. Unless she can win the next HOH she will most likely be evicted next week.
10. Michelle - Michelle is essentially Da'Vonne light. She tries to be a mean girl without getting any blowback but most of her interactions just really show her to be a truly horrible human being.
9. Victor - Will have to wait another week to see if Victor can go far in this game or is thrown out quickly.
8. Zakiyah - She has no game and has stated on the live feeds that she is only there to get noticed by a modeling agency. She's close with Paulie and Da'Vonne so that will get her much farther in the game than she should.
7. Da'Vonne - Da has gotten lucky the last two weeks that there have been bigger targets than her but her words and actions have been very caustic and not a lot in the house trust her.
6. Paul - Paul finally got caught trying to swing from group to group but has still has managed to stay under the radar.
5. Paulie - Paulie fashions himself as some sort of Don over the group and surprisingly it has worked to this point. He gets top five for winning two HOH and never being on the block, other wise he'd be much lower.
The top four is completely dominated by the two "power" couples in the house.
4. Nicole - Corey is the only thing keeping Nicole high on this list because her game has been, well, horrible to this point. She can't decide which alliances she wants to go with. She has said all season that she wanted to work with Frank but at every opportunity to work with him she has changed her mind.
3. Corey - Corey has made it this far and this high on his "aw shucks" routine. I think he is a lot smarter than he let's on. We shall see.
2. Natalie - Natalie is literally only at this position because of her relationship with James. She has no game, she doesn't win games, she talks to no one outside of Bridgette and James. But because she is attached to James she will go as far as he can take her.
1. James - I thought at the beginning of this season that it would come down to James and Frank. With Frank blowing up his game with help from Da that just leaves James. He was a strong contender last year before his luck ran out. If he continues playing the type of game he played last year there is no reason not to believe he won't win the game. Of course it doesn't hurt that he won HOH this week and is about to get the other strongest player out of the game.
EVICTION
Frank was evicted by a vote of 9-0
Head of Household
Paul has won head of household and it essentially sounds like it is going to be a Paulie week. I have no idea who the target it but no one wants to be the pawn because this season (outside of Paul) pawns have not done well.
Nominations
Paul nominated Bridgette and Paulie. Bridgette is the target and unless she can win POV she is out this week. Her only ally is Natalie but she will vote with the house.
POV
Paulie has won the Power of Veto. At this point it's a certainty that Bridgette is going, unless they backdoor Victor ... again.
POV Ceremony
Paulie removed himself from the block and Paul put up Da'Vonne in his place. As of now, the target is Da. Do not be surprised, however, if by Thursday Bridgette is voted out.
