Week 7 General Election Projection
The only change in this week's map is that I have moved Georgia into the Likely Trump category. He continues to lead in the state and the last poll out had Trump up by nine.
Nate Silver and the team at fivethirtyeight.com have shifted their focus onto the general election. Currently based on the polls they give Clinton a 78% chance of winning the general election. They have the projected vote percentage for the candidates 48.7% for Clinton 42.2% for Trump and 7.7% for Gary Johnson who is running on the Libertarian ticket.
As far as the electoral vote (the only vote that actually counts) they have Clinton receiving 343.3, Trump receiving 194.1 and Johnson receiving 0.7.
The difference between my projection and fivethirtyeight is that they have Trump taking Arizona and Missouri where I have them leaning towards Clinton.
