What the Fourth Means to Me
Today is the Fourth of July, the 235th anniversary of a group of colonists standing together and declaring their independence from England. It is a day full of excitement, fireworks, and most importantly family.
My family has always anticipated the Fourth more than any other holiday outside of Christmas, and for good reason. It is a time of remembrance. It is a time to remember those that came before us that fought to ensure us the rights that at times we take for granted.
It is a time to remember our troops throughout history and the men and women who shaped this great land of ours.
The Fourth means a lot of things to me, but the most important, it means freedom.
Have a Happy and a Safe Fourth everyone.
